Motorcycle riders challenged candidates, “Include rider’s rights and road safety to your platform”

About 1000 motorcycle riders representing various clubs and organizations in the country united for their ‘Rider’s Assembly for Rider’s Agenda’ held in San Juan City, today.

The Rider’s Agenda includes policy reforms formulated by the riders which includes; uphold rider’s rights, promote safety for riders and other road users, legislators to craft and support the “Motorcycle Road Safety Act” and legalize and regulate motorcycle taxi.

They invited several senatorial candidates to appeal their sector’s welfare to be included in the candidates’ platform.

Meanwhile, as a sign of agreement between the riders and the candidates, they signed a covenant manifesting their support to the motorcycle community.

Present in the event were re-electionist JV Ejercito, Erin Tañada, Florin Hilbay, Chel Diokno, representatives from Land Transportation Office (LTO), PNP-Highway Patrol Group and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
