Royal Enfield Philippines recently unveiled their Twin 650s, the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor INT 650 featuring their first-ever twin cylinder engines since the 1970s.
Looking back, RE’s first twin engine was introduced in 1948 having 500cc cylinder engines.
Meanwhile, today, the 648 cc twin cylinder is air-cooled. They are paired with 6-speed transmissions with slipper clutch assist and also share the same twin cradle tubular steel frame developed in partnership with Harris Performance UK, a company bought by Royal Enfield on 2015 under Eicher Motors.
