MAXXIS NAsFOR 4×4 Cup concludes first half run

by MotoMag Philippines

The first half of the MAXXIS NAsFOR 4×4 Cup Extreme Off-Road Challenge has come to a close, with the toughest off-roaders claiming their well-deserved podium places. Leading the pack of off-road athletes with five podium places—four of which are championships—is Joseph Rodriguez of 4Wheelers Davao. He is followed by Jherico Lara of the Aurora Racing Team with three podium places and fellow 4Wheelers Davao member Cesar Daquil, who won three as well.

Started his off-roading career five years ago, Rodriguez is considered the toughest competitor in this year’s challenge. His club 4Wheelers Davao was a mainstay on the podium during the second quarter because of his and Daquil’s stellar performance, taking the top spot in the 6th and 5th legs, respectively.

MAXXIS Marketing Manager Rose Ann Garin shares, “We, the MAXXIS Tires team, are thrilled to know that we were able to help these athletes achieve their winning stories through our high-quality off-roading tires, which we are sure were of huge help in conquering the challenging obstacle courses in each leg. We join the entire Philippine off-roading community in cheering for these fueled athletes as we see more hills and puddles down the second half of the challenge.”

Meanwhile, off-roading household name Noel Bartolome Jr. of the Landcruiser Club Philippines, who placed second in the 5th leg and third in the 7th leg, is gaining momentum in the challenge with two podium places. Also with two podium places are Euane Evangelista of Digos 4Wheelers, Derrick Gahite of Manila East Offroaders and Edison Dungca of Kapampangan Racing Team.

The Off-Road Challenge started the second half of the year with its 9th leg last July 6 to 7 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, with Joseph Rodriguez once again besting his competitors.
