Bikerbox, Inc., a distributor of riding gear accessories and an official aftersales service provider of classic bikes in Metro Manila, has officially reintroduced the Italian motorcycle brands Aprilia and Moto Guzzi to the Philippine market, after acquiring its exclusive distributorship in the country.

As Piaggio entrusted them by two of its brand, Mr. Mike Bondoc of Bikerbox, Inc. expressed that they are very honoured for they will be representing and distributing these iconic motorcycle brands. “Philippine Market is right for these brands. Southeast Asian Region has been experiencing a good growth in terms of motorcycle sales,” he added.

For his part, Nicola Capello, Marketing Director of Piaggio Asia Pacific shares, “We have chosen Bikerbox as we believe they have the right business profile to manage sales and provide quality aftersales for customers.”

RSV4 1100 Factory

The relaunch event also showcased Aprilia’s newest product line-up which includes: RSV4 1100 Factory (Php 1,680,000); Tuono V4 1100 Factory (Php 1,280,000) and Dorsoduro 900 (Php 750,000).

After reaching the benchmark of 201 HP in the street-legal factory configuration in 2017, the V4 from Aprilia reaches another evolutionary crossroads, increasing displacement to 1078 cc. This change was decided based on the experience and the outstanding feedback from critics and the public already obtained with this solution on the Tuono V4, the sport naked version of the RSV4 which went from 1000 to 1100 cc in 2015.

Additonally, the Tuono V4 range represents the state-of-the-art in technology; the sophisticated electronic management includes the advanced dynamic controls package with APRC, cornering abs, quick shift active even in downshifting, pit limiter and cruise control. The 175 HP V4 engine and the racing frame provide good performance and new graphics were also added for both Tuono V4 1100 RR and Tuono V4 1100 Factory.

Meanwhile, for the Moto Guzzi brand, the V7 III Stone, V7 III Special, V9 Bobber Sport, and the V85 TT have been reintroduced in the event. The V85 TT is created around a totally new technical platform with 80 HP, 80 nm twin and brand-new frame and suspension. According to the company, the first classic travel enduro retains the values of the noble Mandello brand and promises unique riding experiences, in keeping with Moto Guzzi tradition. With a price of Php 830,000, this bike is the only model to use shaft drive transmission in its segment.

V9 Bobber Sport

On the other hand, the new special series of the sport custom from the eagle brand, the V9 Bobber Sport reveals the aggressive and racing side of its character, drawing inspiration from the flat track races that originated the legendary bobber phenomenon.  Now, it has a lowered single-seat saddle, Ohlin’s shock absorbers, slip-on exhaust and a brand new look enhances the bold spirit of a unique motorcycle. It is priced at Php 750,000.

These bikes are now available in Aprilia and Moto Guzzi dealership in Parañaque. The company also announced that for the next few months, they will open area dealers in Pampanga and Davao.
