KTM Philippines, in cooperation with Ayala Land, Inc., launches the KTM Riders Academy. The program sets out to make off-road motorcycling more accessible through safe and enjoyable experiences.
KTM has unparalleled expertise in the two-wheel offroad world, and is the leading force in offroad motorsport competitions worldwide and offers a comprehensive range of off-road capable machines. The KTM Riders Academy was born out of the need to share the joys and rewards of the sport with as many people as possible.
The KTM Riders Academy offers training courses in the techniques of offroad riding within a one-day or two-day program, depending on the course. It caters to riders of all skill levels – from complete beginners to seasoned riders seeking a tailored and effective way to hone their riding abilities.
The courses offer specific coaching on single-cylinder specialist enduro machines as well as on larger displacement, travel-oriented multi-cylinder motorcycles. The courses will be taught by two of KTM Philippines’ elite instructors, namely Mr. Jermell F. Sevilla and Mr. Patrick North C. Orbe, both of whom were sent to Phuket, Thailand to train and get certified by KTM Master Trainers from Europe. They were selected according to their outstanding riding experience, previous coaching experience, professionalism, and personable attitude.
The inaugural batch of KTM offroad Instructors have been trained in comprehensive aspects of operating a premium riding school, including the theory and practice of riding techniques, coaching methodology, and safety principles. The curriculum has been developed by certified federal instructors who boast an education in sports anatomy, experience in competitive motorcycle racing and a diverse coaching background. The program is assured to provide both effective learning and memorable experiences for participants.
The KTM Riders Academy courses will take place in KTM Philippines’ newest off-road training facilities in Vermosa in Imus, Cavite and in Alviera in Porac, Pampanga. Both off-road training facilities were meticulously designed to simulate real-world off-road environments to better train students on proper off-road riding techniques and also to teach them how to maximize the true potential of their KTM motorcycles.
